All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship 2013 with Ambre !

The delegations of countries listed in the All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship 2013 stay at the Ambre hotel throughout the competition.

Introducing competition


At the press conference on April 17, the Sun Resorts Group, major partner of the All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship 2013 and the Mauritian Golf Federation, presented the trophy of the competition and the official equipment of the Mauritian Junior team (shirts, caps and golf balls). In this presentation, the President of the Mauritian Golf Federation Christopher Curé said, "We are pleased to introduce the young golfers who proudly wear the national colors in this competition where will face the best African players and future Golf world champions". The major partners of this competition are also the Mauritian Ministry of Youth and Sports, the MTPA, Air Mauritius and TaylorMade.

The Mauritian team fully prepared


The members of the Mauritian national team were selected during qualifying tournaments organized by the Mauritian Golf Federation. The team is composed of Phil Minkley, who will be the captain, Yannick Bax, Isaac Currimjee and Oliver Wong Ten Yen and will be coached by Gavin Minkley, Team manager and coach of the Mauritian National Junior team. They will face young golfers from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Swaziland, Uganda, Reunion Island, Namibia, Madagascar and Kenya.

The tournament on the Touessrok Golf Course


The Mauritian junior team will face the best young African golfers on the legendary Le Touessrok Golf Course on Ile aux Cerfs. The official opening ceremony of the "All Africa Junior team Golf Championship" will take place on Sunday, April 28 in the presence of the Mauritian Minister of Youth and representatives of the Confederation of African Golf and R & A. It will be followed by four days of stroke play competition from April 29 to May 2. Top 3 Gross scores will be taken into account and the winner in Individual will be decided on its Gross score while the best team will be selected based on its Net score. Delegations will arrive in Mauritius a few days before the start of the competition to find and play the course at Le Touessrok and the new Ambre 4 star hotel is delighted to welcome them during this highly awaited event.
